Our Trauma & Resiliency specialist and Program Director, Amber Gray, MA, MPH, LPC/C, ADTR, NCC, Ph.D. Candidate, has received her Bachelors degree in International Relations/Spanish and two Masters degrees in each of Somatic Psychology and Public Health. She speaks three languages and has worked nationally and internationally through governmental and nongovernmental entities, which serve veterans and trauma survivors, such as victims of trafficking, imprisoned child combatants, the chronically mentally ill and victims of organized violence and torture, just to name a few.
While working as the Director of her therapy center, Restorative Resources, Amber has provided crisis response support to dozens of communities in the face of extreme devastation, such as the Columbine High School tragedy, the September 11th attacks and victims of violence in Kosovo, Rwanda, and Darfur. In addition to direct provision of clinical services, Amber is a trainer, teacher, prevention specialist and graduate level university instructor in the US and in over 10 countries.
The primary focus of our Trauma and Resiliency Program is our country’s war veterans, many of whom are returning home with emotional, physical and psychological wounds that are left untreated by conventional means. The fusion of Amber's qualifications as a trauma professional and her certification as a Raven Drum facilitator enables her to fulfill the mission of Raven Drum Foundation by creating a drumming and clinically based therapeutic model which addresses the needs of the populations we serve.
