Rick Allen became the drummer of Def Leppard at 15. At the height
of worldwide fame in 1984, he had a car accident that changed his
life. Rick lost an arm, but turned personal tragedy into spiritual
transformation and continued his musical career. While he was already
a hero to millions of young people, he soon added millions of new
admirers. His intention with Raven Drum is to share his journey
and help others to discover their own paths. Rick's incredible story
is truly the direct inspiration for the Raven Drum Foundation.

 Lauren
Monroe has been a practitioner and teacher of energy healing and massage for 13 years. With an M.A. in Dance Choreography, a B.A. in Education, and Advanced Certification in Massage Therapy, her healing arts background includes specialized work with incarcerated teens, hospice care, and crisis healing. She has studied and apprenticed with Christian Benedictine Monks, Tribal Healers of Brazil, Mexico, North America and New Zealand and is an initiated minister of Deeksha Healing from The Oneness University of Southern India. She is the creator of The Advanced Energy Medicine Certification Program at the Boulder College of Massage Therapy and The Co Founder of The Raven Drum Foundation where she teaches and facilitates healing drum and empowerment circles. A vocalists, songwriter, and musician, Lauren Monroe creates a direct and personal experience of spiritual oneness and healing for audiences and students alike. Her work is an authentic expression of art and medicine that reflects powerful connections to all that is sacred.
Heather Davidson
Arts Collective

Heather Davidson, MA, MT-BC is a board certified music therapist.
Her education includes a Bachelor of Arts degree from Molloy College
in NY and a Master of Arts degree in music therapy from University
of the Pacific in CA. Heather has also received additional training
in drum circle facilitation with Arthur Hull and Christine Stevens,
MSW, MT-BC. Heather is currently practicing music therapy and facilitating
drum circles with persons with Alzheimer's disease. With the Raven
Drum Foundation, Heather co-facilitates drum circles with Rebecca
Hawes, MSW, PhD Candidate, at Malibu High School with students in
special education.
Rebecca Hawes
Arts Collective

Rebecca Hawes, MSW, PhD Candidate, Drum Circle Co-Teacher, is a
clinical social worker and a social welfare researcher. In addition
to her clinical and academic training, Rebecca has completed two
levels of drum circle facilitation training with Arthur Hull, through
Village Music Circles. When she is not working on her dissertation
at UCLA and other research projects, Rebecca co-facilitates drum
circles with Heather Davidson, MA, MT-BC.
Pablo A Sun’e
Arts Collective

Pablo A. Suñé is a Musician and Music Therapist and
holds a degree from the Faculty of Medicine at Salvador University
in Buenos Aires, Argentina. His particular style of teaching incorporates
Music as a way of promoting Health by using voice, movement and
musical instruments. Pablo works with both Primary and Secondary
level education, in health centers and with artistic-musical programs
for people with special needs in the greater Los Angeles area.
Alessandra Belloni
Raven
Drum Master Teacher

Alessandra Belloni is a singer, tambourine virtuoso, dancer and
actress. Born in Rome, she is committed to preserving the strong
and rich traditions of her culture. Alessandra teaches healing workshops
featuring Southern Italian ritual dance & rhythm. A Remo Signature
Artist, Alessandra teaches and performs in the United States, Europe
and Brazil. She is the only woman in America to use this powerful
tambourine style combined with singing and dancing, bringing ancient
healing traditions back to life.
Forrest Robinson
Arts Collective
Forrest began playing drums when he was 4 years old, and has never
stopped. He attended college on a music scholarship at the University
of Tennessee at Chattanooga, majoring in music education, and went
on to pursue his dream of becoming a professional musician full
time. He is now an accomplished drummer, most recently touring
the world with India Arie, as well as a writer, producer and composer.
Forrest helps lead the rhythms at Raven Community Drum Circles,
and recently began assisting Rick in teaching programs. He
plans to continue in this work, helping to preserve the blessing
of live drumming and the performing arts as a whole in the community.
Shaun Lovell
Arts Collective
Shaun is a Raven Drum Master drummer, an entertainer of children
and a professional horse handler. He began his journey
in South Africa, with a powerful inspiration to follow the path
of the drum and to seek masters of itˆs ancient knowledge.
His journey brought him to California and he soon felt the need
to teach and pass on this ancient wisdom. Shaun has also studied
Yoga at an ashram in Katmandu, Nepal and is currently studying to
become a teacher of Tri Yoga in Malibu, CA.
Sally Swart
Arts Collective
Sally Swart is an artist, teacher, dancer and fire-spinner.
She is also a horse trainer and riding instructor, and has worked
using holistic training methods with autistic children and horses.
She is currently exploring sound
healing techniques using tuning forks with both horses and people.
Sally shares her talents in drum and dance as a core member of the
Arts Collective at Raven Community Circles and is currently an assistant
teacher in women's healing programs.
Kurt Levee
Arts Collective
Kurt Levee was born in Southern California where he started playing
drums at the age of 12. He has had the opportunity to work
with some very talented artists including [the Godfather of soul]
James Brown and George Clinton. Kurt met Rick Allen in 1999 and
is a core member of the Raven Drum Arts Collective. He plans
to continue his career, exploring pop music, and also lend support
to Raven Drum community events.
Bonnie Malcolm
Arts Collective
Bonnie Malcolm's background includes Dance, Modeling and Jewelry.
She has been involved in Mixed-ability Dance since 1994 and is currently
starting a new Mixed-ability dance troup for Hip Hop dance.
Bonnie is also a website entrepreneur and manages several websites,
including a modeling site for disabled people, a website that caters
to disability humor and a site that sells head jewelry. Bonnie
brings her talents in music and dance to Raven Drum Community events.
Rob Bergman
Rob Bergman is a graduate of California Institute of the Arts with
a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine art. He is an inspired and ambitious
artist self-taught in Graphic and Web Design and has been a
part of the Raven Drum Foundation since April of 2002.

Carolyn Kemp (1971-2004)
RDF Administrative Director - July 2003 through October 2004
Carolyn joined
the Raven Drum team in July of 2003, bringing with her 10 years
of non-profit administrative experience. She held a Bachelor of
Arts degree in archaeology from the University of Montana, and Master's
Degree in Ancient History from California State University. Carolyn
was employed by non-profit organizations such as the Vineyard Christian
Fellowship, Malibu Foundation for Youth and Families, and the Boys
and Girls Club of Malibu. She combined her knowledge of Ancient
Cultures with her experience in fundraising and administration to
actively support the mission of Raven Drum. Carolyn had the unique
gift of making everyone she met feel connected and special. She
was a shining, bright light to all of us and will always be missed.
